One of the best decisions you can make to improve your overall health and well-being is to pick up a juicing habit.  Juicers and blenders are relatively affordable to purchase.  And most juices require affordable and readily-available natural ingredients.  If you are a cannabis enthusiast, you can easily incorporate cannabis into your juicing habit.  This guide will help you learn more about juicing with cannabis.

What are the effects of juicing with cannabis?

The psychoactive component in cannabis, THC, is what gives you a weed ‘high’.  However, you need to heat the cannabis for THC to be formed.  When consumed in its fresh raw form, cannabis will not give you any high.  Therefore, introducing cannabis into your juicing will not give you any (significant) high as THC content is virtually non-existent in raw weed.

What are the benefits of juicing with cannabis?

The medical value of cannabis is no longer in dispute. All over America, people can access cannabis and cannabis extracts in one form or another to help manage their illnesses. Juicing, even without the cannabis element, is a very healthy habit that provides you with a natural source of vitamins and other important nutrients. If cannabis gives you the motivation to begin juicing, then you will improve your overall health as a result.

Apart from the benefits of juicing as a habit, introducing fresh cannabis into your juices has several health benefits. The cannabis leaf has more than 100 cannabinoid acids, which offer numerous health benefits when consumed. Some cannabinoid acids have anti-inflammatory effects while some are antioxidants. While the research is not yet conclusive, some cannabinoid acids help reduce the growth of cancerous cells. The cannabis leaf also has numerous valuable vitamins and nutrients, in addition to high fiber content. Fresh cannabis also has healthy fats and can be used for pain relief.

Some tips on juicing with cannabis

One of the most important tips when juicing with cannabis is that you should always use fresh cannabis leaves or buds. As cannabis ages, not only does its THC content increase, but it also loses some of its health benefits. You should also try to diversify the cannabis strains that you use in your juicing. Different cannabis strains have different vitamins, cannabinoid acids, and other nutrients. As you are not getting a high when juicing with cannabis, don’t be afraid to work with strains that you might be unfamiliar with. You also don’t need to make any special changes to your juicing regime to accommodate the introduction of cannabis leaves. Just make your favorite juices as usual; only this time, add a few cannabis leaves or buds.
