Surviving The Holidays Responsibly With Cannabis

2020 can be summed up in one word: unprecedented. Due to the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, many people are holed up this holiday season instead of out-and-about spreading the holiday cheer in person. If you’re safely gathering with loved ones this holiday season and craving some cannabis, then these cannabis-infused foods and drinks are sure to be a splendid endcap on this crazy year.

Spice Up Your Holidays With These Cannabis Infused Foods and Drinks

For those that wish to add some extra spice to their holiday celebrations this year, make sure to ascertain everyone’s comfort level before whipping up any cannabis-infused dishes. If your family’s already cool with you cooking cannabis-infused dishes, then try to keep your presentation as classy as possible. If kids are going to be present, be discrete and enjoy your infused dishes away from the little ones so that they don’t accidentally consume your edibles. If you’re a fan of edibles to get yourself deep into the spirit of the season, then these cannabis-infused food and drink recipes are sure to be right up your alley.

  4. Remove cheesecloth with tongs by squeezing to release excess liquid. Discard cheesecloth. Stir apple cider. Leave the crockpot on warm to serve in desired glass.

Strain Recommendation for Tincture:

Jack Herer – is a 55% sativa hybrid aiming to capture cerebral elevation, leaving you blissful, clear-headed, and creative.

Recipe Notes:

The infused element in this recipe is the cannabis tincture. These concentrates can provide a euphoric high, gentle relaxation, or non-intoxicating symptom relief—it all depends on the strain you choose to extract from.

  • For a potent and euphoric high, look for an oil high in THC.
  • For a balanced and gentle high, try an extract with an equal mix of THC and CBD.
  • For therapeutic relief without the high, you’ll want a high-CBD, low-THC product.

If using a high-THC product, remember to dose modestly until you’ve dialed in that perfect dose. With CBD products, getting too high may be a non-issue, but keeping an eye on the dosage is still important, especially if you’re just getting into CBD.

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white whole-wheat flour
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

    2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl and whisk together with CannaOil, agave nectar, vanilla extract, and soy milk mixture.
  • Slowly add all ingredients together and mix until combined into a smooth batter.
  1. Drop the batter into a large skillet over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.

Strain Recommendation for coconut CannaOil:

Sour Tsunami – this is a well-balanced, CBD-rich strain that is 60% Sativa and 40% Indica that’s effective at treating pain and inflammation without producing a significant “high” that is linked to high THC.

Recipe Notes:

This recipe calls for coconut CannaOil which is known to have many potential health benefits. This is a great option for someone looking to try cannabis, but isn’t quite sure of their tolerance level due to the decreased level of cannabis in the recipe in relation to other cannabis baking mixtures. If you’ve gotten the OK to make this dish, it’s best to make two batches. One batch can have the normal dosage and the other batch can have ½ or ¼ the amount of coconut CannaOil.

Getting Safely High This Holiday Season

Whether you’re meeting in person or virtually this holiday season, these cannabis foods and drinks can be a great way to share what you love with who you love. If a loved one wants to join in on your cannabis-infused escapades, make sure to use a THC calculator to estimate the amount of THC in your infusion. Even though this is better than going in blind, just remember that the calculation is just an estimate of the potency so it’s best to round down on your mixture if there’s someone new in your party.
