High There is making a statement of support for Ukraine while condemning Russia’s military attack on the sovereign nation.
Our team is committed to taking action to aid the people of Ukraine. High There currently has no business ties with or inside Russia, and we remain adamant about not conducting any business with the nation.
In order to provide aid to refugees in Ukraine, High There has created a fundraising campaign with all funds going towards the Global Empowerment Mission Inc. (GEM). GEM is currently on the ground in Poland, providing relief and relocating refugees who have evacuated the country.
High There has verified directly with GEM that all donations received through this campaign will go directly to their relief efforts in response to the Russia-Ukraine crisis.
“We are providing emergency aid inside Ukraine to the fighters and families that have stayed behind, as well as women and children that are trying to cross the border into Poland.” said Sue Cushman, international aid director at GEM.
Cushman continued, “We are providing housing to the women and children that are attempting to cross the border from Ukraine to Poland, and are housing them in Medlyka and the surrounding areas in apartments, hotels and Airbnb’s. If they have family in other countries and have the proper documentation with them, we will arrange flights for families out of Poland and to their preferred destination.”
At the conclusion of this fundraiser, High There will be matching all donations made through our campaign to Global Empowerment Mission Inc. Donations will toward providing medical supplies, transportation and basic supplies.
“All donations will be used for various components of our mission in processing and relocating the refugees that are fleeing Ukraine. Whether it be shipping/cargo costs, purchasing medical supplies to replenish the lack thereof in the region, purchasing flights so they can possibly go see a distant loved one, or find a new beginning,” said Global Empowerment Mission Assistant Chief Financial Officer Rene Dago III. “We are graciously accepting any and all support on our mission in Poland, along the border of Ukraine. We have established a network of Refugee Welcome Centers. The refugees arrive, are processed, given blankets, water, food, hygiene products.”
At High There, we’re calling for an end to conflict in the sovereign nation of Ukraine. Our board and staff stand with the individuals around the world who are urgently demanding peace.
We stand in solidarity with Ukrainians and the protestors in Russia who oppose the conflict.
