For the review, I was given two different types of Hello Again suppositories. The “Period” and “Hangover” offerings are new to the brand’s line of products. For those looking for everyday menopause relief or nighttime relief, Hello Again’s flagship suppositories “Everyday” and “Sleep” are geared toward those needs as well.
The first two products released by Hello Again were the “Everyday” suppository for menopause and “Sleep” suppository for nighttime. Hello Again Founders Carrie Mapes and Patty Pappas found that users of all ages and backgrounds were finding the suppositories helped alleviate the pain associated with endometriosis, menstruation woes and even hangovers.
The founders decided to expand their offerings by introducing the “Period” and “Hangover” suppositories to consumers across California. After all, this straightforward approach of delivering healing cannabinoids straight to the cannabinoid receptors in the vagina sounded like a smart and efficient idea. With my time of the month approaching, but no drinking binges in my immediate future, I decided to review the “Period” suppository.
Hello Again Period Suppositories
The Hello Again packaging is spot on. Not only beautiful, it had all the info needed to take your first cannabis suppository journey with confidence. The Period product has a 1:2 THC:CBD ratio. It came with two in the package. The dosage is just one suppository.
The product assures it’ll help battle your cramps. It can also help to balance your mood and achieve a higher level of focus. Sign me up! Emotional, mood-related symptoms of PMS can be so debilitating, so it was encouraging to read that in addition to anti-inflammation and pain relief, this product can also help with energy, comfort and clarity.
I personally deal with mood swings and cramps leading up to and during the first couple days of my menstrual cycle. So, it seemed like this product would be helpful for my symptoms.
Aside from the 10mg THC and 20mg CBD in each suppository, the ingredients in this Hello Again product include a great deal of quality botanicals, like cocoa butter, avocado oil, bergamot and more.
The Packaging
Ripping open the orange package, the two suppositories are then carefully sealed in plastic packaging. I could already smell wonderful scents like lemon (due to the lemon balm ingredient) and sweet thyme. As you can imagine, the cannabis vaginal suppositories smell fresh and beautiful without any medicinal or earthy tones.
The package comes with a small pamphlet with simple instructions on how to insert the suppository. The steps are as easy as follows: “Wash your hands. Open the package by peeling the tabs like a banana. Insert with your index finger well into the vagina.” From there, it’s recommended to either lay down for a couple minutes. Or you can use a tampon or panty liner to keep the suppository in place and mess-free.
The Review
Once the “Period” suppository was in place, I immediately felt a fresh, tingly feeling that wasn’t overpowering, uncomfortable or odd. One piece of advice I have is to open the suppository with care. They are very fragile. If I had torn into the package carelessly, I could’ve ended up making a mess of the magical bullet.
Aside from the initial sensation, I quickly began feeling my cramping pain begin to subside. The first couple days of my period can lead to pretty intense cramping, so this was a much welcomed effect of the suppository experience.
Within an hour, any cramping I was experiencing earlier in the day had completely subsided. Luckily I don’t suffer from endometriosis, but it’s been reported by other reviewers that these suppositories are efficient enough to even combat the brutal pain and inflammation associated with this disease.
Overall, not dealing with period pain or the overall discomfort that comes with menstruation, I did feel more uplifted and positive. My productivity was also positively affected, as I didn’t feel grumpy and weighed down by my time of the month. Overall, I think it’s something I could see myself picking up at my local dispensary during my next shopping trip. It was refreshingly efficient.
Hangover Suppositories
The second new product Hello Again gave me was the Hangover cannabis suppository. While I haven’t had a chance to review it (yet), I imagine this will be a great product for many to have on hand after they’ve gone a little too hard on the wine at Christmas dinner.
The post-party relief cannabis suppository is a 4:3 THC:CBD ratio, allowing you to have an overindulgent night that doesn’t ruin the following day. With similar instructions to the Period suppository, it’s definitely worth giving a try.
