Letter From the Editor: You, Me and CBD

Jamie Solis

By Jamie Solis

September 1, 2022

As we near the last few weeks of summer, I know many of us are eager to jump into fall and all the traditions that come with it. On Tuesday, I had nearly 20 people on my Instagram feed sharing their pumpkin spiced cold brews. Oh, what a time to be alive!

While I can start gushing about my favorite season of the year, which is fall, instead I’m going to save that rant for next month. Although I do have to mention that Martha Stewart got an early start on the pumpkin spiced trend with her

that launched over two weeks ago. Way to go, Martha!

Instead, in this month’s letter, I’m going to let you in on a new focus at High There, and that is all things CBD.

The CBD Report

This past month, we launched a newsletter called

. The newsletter is brought to you by our Community Lead Hannah (Izer) Vysoky. It has educational stories, product recommendations, CBD news and more! If you’re not already signed up, it’s not too late, as you’ll get it in your inbox every Thursday.

We’ve been working hard to ensure we have a ton of new CBD-related content topics each week, so if you find yourself impatiently waiting for The CBD Report to hit your inbox, you can find even more CBD articles posted to our site multiple times a week.

Cannabidiol Content Highlights

I kicked off our CBD focus last month by writing a

about my daughter’s initials, which her dad and I purposely chose to make CBD. I think it’s a cute story and hope you take time to learn more about what was going on in the world of CBD almost a decade ago. Spoiler alert — the compound was just starting to be talked about, and I had no clue it would blow up to be such a major player in the cannabis space.

When it comes to product reviews, our Community Lead Hannah penned a review about a product she personally stands behind,

. Hannah shared how these capsules have become an important part of her daily work routine and more.

We’ve also had our writer Keegan Williams tackle quite a few educational stories on CBD, answering questions like

? And also teaching readers how to make and .

More Than Just CBD

Of course, while we’ve definitely hit the CBD content hard, that doesn’t mean we’re straying away from bringing you the stories and columns you’ve grown to know and love. This past month, we had the wonderful opportunity to feature two different CEOs for our

series.

, CEO and founder of Stone Road chatted with me via telephone on his way to his cannabis farm. His story about running one of the most sustainable cannabis brands in California is one you don’t want to miss.

We also just published our interview with

, CEO of KushKards. When Hannah first pitched the story, I immediately gave it the green light. After all, I remember years and years ago when these adorable joint-holding cards first hit the market. They were charming and clever then, and they’ve only continued to become more innovative and popular.

The High There App Community

As always, you can expect more informative content, news stories, interviews and reviews from all your friends at High There. Keep in mind that we’re so much more than just a website. Our High There app is a welcoming, cannabis-friendly community of like-minded individuals. You’re more than welcome to come join us by downloading the app through the

or

Each and every day, you can find engaging content, meaningful friendships and good conversation being shared in our app community. Until next month, I hope you stay cool out there and end your summer on a positive note.

Cheers!
